term. Mr Bryan was previously Deputy Head (Academic) at St Ronan’s School in Kent.
Matthew has an MSc Education (Learning and Teaching) from St Anne’s College, Oxford having read Classics and gained a Post Graduate Certificate
Mrs Nicola Huggett, currently Head of Blundell’s School, Devon, is to be the new
head of Cheltenham College, Gloucestershire. and will take up post in September 2018.
Educated at Marlborough College, Mrs Huggett went on to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University. After successfully completing a graduate management scheme in advertising with J Walter Thompson Ltd, she returned to Oxford to complete
a PGCE in History and began teaching in 1994.
From 1996 to 2007, Mrs Huggett taught Politics and History at Haileybury, working closely with Old Cheltonian Danny Hearn
Rydes Hill Pre- paratory School and Nursery, Surrey, have announced the appointment of
Mrs Sarah Norville as Headmis- tress from this month (April) following the retirement of Mrs Stephanie Bell after 12 years of headship.
Mrs Norville studied English at St Mary’s in Strawberry Hill and became deputy head of St. Thomas of Canterbury in Fulham in 2003.
Since 2007, Mrs Norville has been a Head at St Mary’s Catho-

Mrs Huggett has many interests including music and sport. A keen runner, she has completed the London Marathon and has enjoyed playing Club Hockey. She has four children.
Mrs Huggett’s appointment follows Dr Alex Peterken’s departure at Christmas. Mr Crispin Dawson (Senior Deputy Head) is currently Acting Head.

Mr Taylor is currently Deputy Head at Trent College, Nottingham, a post he has held since 2014. He was previously Assistant Head of Fulwood Academy in Preston and a Boarding Housemaster and Head of Politics at St Peter’s School
in York.

She will be joining The Elms in September, taking over from Keith Morrow who is taking up a new headship in Birmingham. Mrs Pot- ter has over 25 years’ experience in primary education and The Elms will be her third headship.

The Council of Rossall School, Lancashire have announced the appointment of Mr Jeremy Quar-
termain as the school’s new Head from August 2018.
Jeremy is currently Deputy Head (Academic) at Brentwood School. He was educated at Colchester Royal Grammar School before studying for a history degree at Peterhouse, Cambridge Univer- sity. He completed an M.Phil.

Appointed to teach history and classical civilisation at Gresham’s School in 2007, Jeremy was subsequently appointed Head

Current Head, Ms Elaine Purves, will leave Rossall School in August, following a 5-year post, to take up another headship in Brussels, Belgium.
